Pushed into Battle (Plague Furnace)
URL Copied!

A single Plague Furnace can be deployed in each unit of Plague Monks. The Plague Furnace must be placed at the front of its unit and as centrally as possible. The following rules apply.

Moving the Plague Furnace

The unit the Plague Furnace has joined marches, charges, and pursues normally so long as it has at least 10 models. For every model the unit drops below 10, the unit deducts 1" from its move. If the unit is reduced to five models or less, it cannot move.

Terrain

The Plague Furnace treats terrain in the same manner as a Chariot.

Shooting at the Plague Furnace

Any enemy can choose to target either the unit pushing the Plague Furnace or the Plague Furnace itself. Hits against the unit are resolved as normal, but hits against the Plague Furnace are randomised - hitting the Plague Furnace on a 1-5, and the Plague Priest on a 6. Note, high Strength hits will not 'ring' the censer

Attacking the Plague Furnace

The Plague Furnace can be attacked in the same way as the Screaming Bell, with the following exception. Unlike a Grey Seer on a Screaming Bell, a Plague Priest cannot avoid challenges when mounted on a Plague Furnace.

Destroying the Plague Furnace

If the Plague Furnace is destroyed, remove the whole model and place the Plague Priest where it was. He will join the unit. This is the only way the Plague Priest can leave the Plague Furnace.
